Quality, Energy, Environmental, Safety & Health (QEESH)
Manager Role & Responsibilities General:
Reporting to the General Manager, this role ensures adherence to contractual obligations, KPIs, and continuous improvement in Health & Safety (H&S).
Responsibilities include legislative reviews, annual reports, third-party application evaluations, and coordination of depot and external work.
The role also involves facilitating bi-monthly senior management meetings.
This role offers the opportunity to drive key initiatives in a dynamic environment, ensuring operational excellence and compliance across multiple domains.
Health & Safety:
Conduct annual reviews of the companys Safety Statement and Construction, Health and Safety Plan and Risk Assessment Register.
Review permits for site work and MSRAs are fit for purpose.
Carry out site inspections and audits for works and operatives compliance including but not limited to permits, CSCSs, and inductions.
Undertake completion of thorough examinations of vehicles, lifting equipment and calibration checks of weighbridge and barrier equipment.
Lead depot inspections and Safety Meetings in liaison with the Safety Representative/s.
Complete accident investigations including reporting.
Training Compliance:
Manage training records, toolbox talks, and monthly training planning for the company.
Companywide monitoring and planning of training.
Quality:
Complete quality submissions to Client.
Conduct internal audits and programs.
Manage external audits including but not limited to NSAI and ISO recertification.
Facilitate and attend monthly Quality meetings.
Complete ISO annual surveillance/recertification audits.
Environmental & Energy:
Lead Environmental and Energy meetings.
Maintain Chemical Register including reviews and checks as part of site audits.
Manage pesticide use including DAFM Operatives and PCS Numbers.
Complete monthly reports general and energy.
Ensure ISO 50001 yearly reviews and KPIs are consistently achieved.
Sustainability reporting.
Requirements Full, clean B Driving license essential Level 8 Degree in Health & Safety with a minimum of 5 years experience Post grad education in environmental, energy or sustainability disciplines an advantage 3 years of operations and maintenance experience - an advantage Winter maintenance experience an advantage Traffic management experience an advantage Excellent communication and IT skills Benefits: Company car and expense Christmas bonus Hybrid options Pay Protection Insurance Supported Continuing Professional Development
