My client is seeking a Fund Accountant Analyst for a Fixed Term Contract in County Louth.
My client is part of a wider global asset services group and operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of a leading international financial services group.
They specialize in providing fund administration services for a broad range of investment products, including alternative and regulated offerings. Their comprehensive services encompass all necessary components to independently calculate a fund’s dealing or indicative net asset value (NAV) on a monthly, weekly, or daily basis.
Role Overview
The Fund Accountant within the Fund Accounting team will prepare financial statements and manage the audit process for assigned clients. They will also be responsible for the preparation of ad hoc regulatory reports.
Core Responsibilities
* Preparing financial statements for a variety of investment funds, including hedge funds.
* Liaising with external auditors to complete annual audits for each fund.
* Filing approved financial statements with the relevant authorities.
* Preparing specific statistical and regulatory financial returns for funds.
* Handling additional regulatory and client reporting as needed.
* Coordinating with investment managers during interim and year-end audits.
* Liaising with the Company Secretary when necessary.
* Maintaining and developing relationships with assigned clients in collaboration with the related AVP.
Key Requirements
* Experience: 1–2 years in a similar role within the funds industry.
* Accounting Knowledge: Familiarity with investment instruments and associated accounting principles.
* Initiative: Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
* Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to engage effectively with clients, auditors, third parties, and internal colleagues at all levels.
* Industry Exposure: Knowledge of Irish GAAP, IAS or US GAAP, UK SORP, Central Bank and CIMA regulations, and Irish Stock Exchange rules relating to financial statements. Familiarity with multi-class funds and performance fee equalisation procedures is advantageous.
