Head of Lending and Projects Our client, the Tallaght and District Credit Union (TDCU), is seeking to recruit a Head of Lending and Projects to support the lending, member engagement and project development of the organisation. The Role The Head of Lending and Projects will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing the lending function of the credit union, ensuring the effective management of personal loans, mortgages, and overseeing and project managing credit union projects. This role is crucial in driving the credit union's lending growth and lending business model development, managing the increasing loan book and lending activities across branches and online, developing and implementing a member engagement strategy, as well as managing projects to support the credit unions goals. About the Credit Union TDCU, located in Tallaght village, serves the financial needs of the Tallaght community. The credit union offers a range of financial products and services, including savings accounts, loans, and insurance, all with competitive rates and low fees. It has embarked on a number of strategic developments in recent years and is now poised to further enhance its structure and reach in the coming months. Key Responsibilities of the Role Implement the lending strategy aligned with the credit union's strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.Oversee the origination and servicing of personal loans, ensuring efficient and effective loan assessment, underwriting, and management processes.Lead the development and delivery of mortgage solutions in partnership with the Mortgage CUSO, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.Enhance and lead community and member engagement efforts to increase lending and support the credit union's mission.Oversee the development and management of lending products and services, lending channels, digital and online lending, and lending product development.Provide regular reports to the CEO and Board of Directors on the performance and effectiveness of the lending function.Ensure the consistent and effective application of lending policies and procedures.Ensure effective policy review and management for all lending activities.Monitor and report on the credit union's loan portfolio, ensuring effective risk management and compliance with regulatory requirements.Lead, support, coach, train and develop the lending team.Oversee the management of projects for the credit union, ensuring the successful delivery of strategic projects that support the credit union's growth and development across all areas of the credit union.Working as part of the wider management team, supporting colleagues and deputising in other areas when needed during periods of leave etc. Reporting Reporting to the CEO Person RequiredThe ideal candidate will be QFA qualified and an experienced Lending Manager working in the financial services or credit union sector with experience in personal and mortgage lending, member engagement strategies and the management of projects.Contract Duration and Hours This is a permanent contract. The role is full time, Mon-Fri, with occasional Saturday mornings as required. Location The role is primarily on-site in Tallaght with some working from home being possible.
