Registered Nurses are directly responsible for patient care during procedures and indirectly responsible for coordination and information sharing of both pre- and post-procedural care. RNs exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making skills. They are expected to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the physician. Responsibilities
1. Performing patient assessments and reviewing patient information
2. Coordinating planned nursing care with other health care team members
3. Identifying goals, formulating plans of patient care and evaluating outcomes
4. Training and instructing new personnel as necessary
5. Performing meticulous scope cleaning when required, according to policy, procedure and manufacturers’ recommendations
6. Assisting with organization and development of policies and procedures
Experience
Minimum of two years experience preferred
License/Certification
Current California Registered Nurse license
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certificate
Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certificate
