An exciting opportunity has arisen within Boliden Tara Mines for a Stores and Supply Operative. Reporting to the Stores Supervisor, the Stores & Supply Operative is responsible for ensuring completeness and accuracy of inventory and engaging with several stakeholders across the stores and supply function and the wider Tara Mines business.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Responsible for safeguarding inventory.
* Carry out daily cycle counting of inventory (two full cycle counts are required per annum).
* Investigation and resolution of all inventory discrepancies (following cycle counts) and implementation of corrective actions and processes to eliminate repetitive errors.
* Checking the receipt of goods into the warehouse, receipting on ERP system including delivery docket recording (goods inwards).
* Accurate and timely selection of inventory to issue to the operation (issuing).
* Physical and system updates following return of inventory including refurbishment where required (returns).
* Managing inter-store transfers and location changes including updating ERP system.
* General store maintenance i.e. assembly, cleaning, pallet strapping, painting, power washing etc.
* Use of forklift where required to load/unload inventory items in a safe and responsible manner.
* Ensure vending machines are fully stocked at all times and associated systems updated.
* Responsible for answering inventory inquiries from all departments in a timely manner.
* Assist in updating inventory descriptions in ERP system and adding new inventory parts to the catalogue when required.
* Assist with re-order process when required.
* Cross-functional and flexible work practices required with full engagement with relevant systems and processes including Maximo.
* Follow company standards and safety procedures at all times.
* Engage in continuous performance management process.
* Responsible for providing the highest level of standards to our end users and to act in a professional manner at all times including attending operational pulse meetings where required.
* Performing other related duties as required by your supervisor including relief for other members of the team.
Experience & Qualifications:
* Leaving Cert or equivalent is required.
* 3 years+ warehouse experience.
* Experience in working in a demanding environment.
* Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Applications: Word, Excel, Outlook.
* Experience of IBM Maximo required.
* Understanding, speaking, reading, writing, and presenting in English.
* Knowledge of the mining industry/ Engineering.

Additional Info:
* This role will be full time Monday – Friday, 39 hours per week on a staggered roster.
* You will be required to work on surface & underground as required by supervisor.
* You may be required to work additional hours to suit the needs of the business.
