RecruitmentPlus on behalf of our client have an excellent opportunity to join the successful manufacturing company as Inventory & Shipping Co-Ordinator. This role will work with the Shipping and Warehouse teams managing incoming and outgoing products.
Well located in Dundalk for easy commute locally and from within Co.s Louth, Monaghan, Armagh, Down, Cavan, Meath. Great day shift working with early finish on Fridays.
Requirements:
* At least 1 year’s experience working in an inventory or shipping department
* Strong logistics industry knowledge, understanding freight routes, shipping lines
* Understanding of customs and declaration requirements per country
* ERP experience with inventory or logistics modules
* Degree desirable, strong secondary education with Mathematics and English required
* Be able to work to demanding schedules, good decision making capabilities with excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Generate cycle counts for warehouse operatives
* Process cycle count results and investigate inventory variances
* Perform root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies and trends
* Establish, monitor, and improve processes for controlling and reporting inventory
* Perform trend analysis on inventory management
* Lead resolution of issues affecting inventory management
* Assist all areas of the business with inventory management support
* Complete scheduled and ad hoc inventory counts
* Communicate proactively with stakeholders on inventory issues
* Work independently on inventory tracking and monitoring
* Establish effective working relationships with multiple business partners
* Participate in the annual stock take
* Book road, sea, and air freight for inbound and outbound shipments
* Create Packing Lists and Invoices within the ERP system for outbound shipments
* Coordinate shipment times with output from production
* Perform accuracy checks of documents supplied for shipping purposes
* Communicate shipment details to relevant stakeholders
* Communicate shipment details with relevant documents to freight providers
* Effectively communicate shipment details to customers and internal stakeholders
* Complete weekly and monthly reporting of freight
* Support projects requiring immediate data extraction, manipulation and reporting
* Adhere to all company policies, guidelines and procedures
