About the Role
An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Risk Assurance Associate to join Davy, working with the First Line Assurance Team – Group Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Risk & Control Assurance
* Developing and executing a monthly risk & control assurance programme, reporting findings and assisting with agreed remediation steps.
* Assisting with the annual Group RCSA Programme for all departments in Operations.
* Performing quarterly reviews of complex areas/issues.
* Maintaining accurate records of operational risk events and breaches, performing root-cause analysis with risk owners.
Risk Governance and Reporting
* Monitoring compliance with Group procedures and other requirements.
* Monitoring and maintaining Operation's Risk Dashboard.
* Producing FLOD risk MI for local management and senior governance bodies.
* Tracking and reporting actions, ensuring monitored versus agreed deadlines.
* Assisting risk and control owners in updating the Group's risk register in compliance with Group requirements.
* Controlling Inventory update, monitoring and reporting.
Identification of Efficiencies
* Proactively identifying operational efficiencies from assurance work undertaken.
* Assisting the first line of defence team in their wider duties as required.
About You
We are looking for someone with the following background and skills:
* A minimum 1 year experience working in a regulated and compliance-driven environment.
* A strong educational, financial services and regulatory background.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* High levels of personal initiative and proven ability to work independently.
* Well organised and self-motivated.
* Demonstrably structured, solution-focused, practical, and collaborative approach to work.
* Proven commitment to professional development.
