Job Summary
As a Clerk of Works, you will be responsible for ensuring all works on site are carried out in full compliance with required standards. This includes regularly checking completed works and works in progress against project plans and requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure all work on site is carried out to the required standard.
* Regularly check completed works and works in progress against project plans and requirements.
* Ensure Health & Safety drawings/specifications and practices are adhered to at all times.
* Measure and visually sample building materials to check their quality and ensure they meet project requirements.
* Attend progress meetings and ensure all reported issues are properly dealt with in a timely manner.
* Continuously monitor all works on site and liaise with contractors and project management.
* Regularly attend site inspections, snagging, and handover of works delivered.
* Coordinate inspections with client technical teams.
* Maintain a daily site diary of all activities on site.
Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years construction-based experience, preferably on-site in a role as Foreman, Site Engineer, Site Manager, Clerk of Works, or as a Resident Architect/Resident Engineer.
* Preferably experience on new-build projects, however refurbishment projects will be considered.
* Optional: Qualifications related to Health & Safety and Fire-specific qualifications are a distinct advantage.
* Candidates applying ideally should have practical IT skills and the ability to use various software packages to accurately record data.
