Our client is expanding their team to support continued growth and are looking for a Materials Engineer to play a key role in enhancing product performance and manufacturing efficiency. The Role Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and improve products. This role would suit a recent graduate or someone with 1-2 years of experience. A farming background would also be advantageous but not essential. Key Responsibilities: Test and analyse materials (rubber, plastics, and steel) to meet performance specifications and regulations. Assemble and build jigs, moulds, and prototypes to support development. Set up and conduct material tests using tools such as pneumatics, data loggers, and 3D FDM printing. Document test results, maintain detailed records, and prepare technical reports for stakeholders. What We're Looking For: A Level 8 degree in a relevant engineering discipline. Knowledge of material properties and testing methods. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in Excel and technical documentation. Hands-on experience in prototyping, assembling, and jig/mould building. Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor (advantageous but not essential). Excellent teamwork, communication, and initiative.
