Senior Accounts Assistant

Key Role Responsibilities
* Automated Accounts Payable System: Oversee the automated accounts payable software system to ensure accurate and timely allocation of invoices and credit notes across departmental budgets.
* Monthly Payroll Processing: Process monthly payroll for each entity within the organization.
* Payment Cycle Coordination: Coordinate and execute the monthly payment cycle, including electronic fund transfers and remittance advice generation.
* Purchase Orders: Initiate and manage purchase orders within budgetary constraints.
* Support and Inquiries: Provide support to suppliers and staff regarding invoice and expense claim inquiries.
* Financial Statements: Contribute to the preparation of monthly financial statements and annual forecasts for multiple organizational entities.
* Income and Cost Reports: Develop and analyze income and cost reports in collaboration with budget holders across the organization.
* Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts on a regular basis.
* VAT Returns: Prepare and submit bi-monthly VAT returns for all organizational entities.
* Ad-Hoc Account Analysis: Undertake bank reconciliation, medical refund claims, CSO reporting, and ad-hoc account analysis as required.
Key Candidate Requirements
* Finance Department Experience: Minimum of three years' experience within a finance department.
* Irish Payroll Experience: Minimum of one year's Irish payroll experience.
* Teamwork and Communication: Proven ability to effectively communicate, organize, and collaborate within a team environment.
* Microsoft Excel: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
* Computerized Accounting Software: Demonstrated experience utilizing computerized accounting software, with preference for SAP Business One.
* Numerical Aptitude and Adaptability: Strong numerical aptitude, adaptability, and a proven track record in general accounts payable functions.
* Independence and Motivation: Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
* Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to foster productive relationships with both suppliers and colleagues.
* Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail, planning, and organizational abilities.
