Your Role
As a Global SAM Specialist (Microsoft), your main responsibilities will include:
1. Subject matter expertise in Microsoft operations and competencies, with the ability to apply and advise on complex software licensing topics and produce ELPs specifically for Microsoft software.
2. Understanding Microsoft licensing concepts and product use rights on-premises as well as in the cloud.
3. Navigating and leveraging Microsoft software-related billing, tracking, and measurement systems and tools like Azure Active Directory, CMDB, My Access, Intune, and ServiceNow.
4. Providing transparency of costs for software contracts and assuring fair allocation of charges to BUs and service owners based on software usage.
5. Negotiating successfully across the organization and with external suppliers/vendors in a constructive and collaborative manner.
6. Maintaining stakeholder community and enabling an information-sharing environment.
7. Proactively identifying and driving initiatives to achieve software-related savings, developing best practices and processes to continuously improve software asset management service and ensure compliance with budget and contractual requirements.
8. Identifying necessary changes and playing a key role in complex software contract negotiations, managing demand and contract updates, and liaising with external vendors, legal, contract, and sourcing teams.
Your Skills and Experience
As a Global SAM Specialist (Microsoft), your skills and qualifications will include:
1. 5+ years of relevant proven experience with:
* Direct responsibility and hands-on management of Microsoft software portfolio in an enterprise environment.
* Personally creating and being responsible for a full ELP for server-based software (primarily SQL and Windows).
* Active hands-on work with Microsoft specific system and usage billing, tracking, and measurement tools.
* Advanced hands-on MS Excel skills (V/H-Look Ups, Pivots, Complex calculations).
* Profit and Loss (P&L) calculations and accruals for cost impact.
1. Fluent spoken and written English (strong B2+).
2. Flexera in-depth hands-on experience and expertise preferred (not mandatory).

Additional Information
Primary work location is Trident House, Blackrock. Position is Dublin-based but occasional travel may be required to other Zurich locations.
