Job Description:
The 5* Druids Glen Hotel and Golf Resort is currently recruiting a passionate and experienced Senior Bartender to join our dynamic team at The Garden Rooms & Bar.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure all guests are given a warm and friendly welcome throughout the hotel and on arrival into all bar areas, and where appropriate, meet, greet, and seat guests upon arrival.
2. To offer the highest level of guest service in all bar areas, ensuring the agreed 5* standards are achieved at all times.
3. Ensure that you have an in-depth knowledge of your department product, in respect of menus, beverages, and pricing.
4. Ensure that you have an extensive knowledge of cocktails and are comfortable with the hotel's cocktail offering.
5. Be able to recommend and upsell menu items, wine, and beverages, and promote sales throughout the hotel.
6. Ensure you are knowledgeable of allergen awareness, dietary requirements, and product awareness.
7. Ensure counter tops, table tops, and bases and furniture are clean at all times.
8. Ensure all glassware is cleaned and presentable to the correct standard.
9. Ensure all tableware is thoroughly polished, salt and pepper cellars are cleaned and filled, table and chairs are disinfected and cleaned, and all menus cleaned, prior to service, or prior to seating guests at tables.
10. Ensure that all bar areas are immaculate at all times for weddings, events, guests & viewing appointments.
11. Ensure you are aware of all total hotel facilities.
12. Ensure all crockery is neatly and safely stacked in the wash-up area.
13. Ensure all issues and complaints are promptly addressed and communicated to your supervisor or manager.
14. Ensure your section or service area is thoroughly cleaned prior to, and after service.
15. To constantly liaise with other departments to ensure all guest requests are attended to efficiently.
The ideal Candidate will be:
1. A skilled and experienced bartender with a passion for hospitality.
2. Highly motivated, with the ability to motivate others.
3. Demonstrating excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
4. Exceptionally well-organized.
5. Able to work both as part of a team and on their own initiative.
6. Strong knowledge and to follow HACCP regulations at all times.
7. Have good knowledge of cocktails and wine.
8. Available to work evenings and weekends.
