Senior Financial Reporting Analyst | Asset Management
Oliver James is partnered with a global leader in the investments sector, who are actively recruiting a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst to join a newly formed function. The role encompasses full responsibility for the planning and reporting of funds and financial process audits. Additionally, the role will play a proactive part in developing financial analysis.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Take full ownership and manage the monthly close and consolidation process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established deadlines within the finance function.
* Perform thorough reviews, tracking, and reconciliation of variances between estimated and actual results across various sources and teams within the organisation.
* Lead the global expense forecasting process within the finance department, ensuring all estimates are accurate, complete, and timely.
* Gain an in-depth understanding of the company's estimate and actualisation processes, while proactively identifying opportunities to improve reporting capabilities.
* Initiate and drive projects focused on efficiency and process improvement, working in collaboration with teams across the firm.
* Evaluate processes and data flows, identify potential risks, and recommend preventative controls to mitigate these risks.
* Perform detailed expense reviews from multiple angles, using various metrics and perspectives to provide comprehensive insights.
Qualifications/Skills Required:
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Finance or related field is preferred.
* 3+ years pqe experience in Financial Services.
* Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills (macros and VBA is a plus).
* Advanced quantitative and problem-solving skills.
