Financial Accountant
The Financial Accountant will support the Accounting & Reporting team in ensuring timely and accurate financial accounting and management reporting of Tirlán, with key responsibility for period end, year end, and planning processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accurate and timely preparation and submission of monthly and year-end financial and management accounts and reporting packs to Group and Senior Management.
* Provide analysis and supporting information to assist management teams in understanding business performance and drive value-added decision making.
* Production of balance sheet reconciliations and maintenance of relevant controls.
* Assist the A&R manager in supporting the business on ad hoc operational and commercial reporting requirements.
* Pro-actively identify opportunities to enhance and improve controls, systems, and processes in line with evolving business needs.
* Liaise with both internal and external auditors, and input into schedules for statutory reporting and tax compliance as required.
* Ownership & control of SAP data uploads in relation to Budget/Forecast in supporting the planning process.
* Advocate for adherence to the Group Policy manual and procedures and keep informed of updates to ensure ongoing compliance of ledgers under their control.
Requirements:
* Professional Accounting Qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA).
* Trained in a multinational organisation or medium to large practice preferable.
* Can interpret complex financial and commercial issues and clearly communicate proposals to stakeholders.
* Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
* Ideally experience of ERP systems, SAP & Data Warehousing platforms (or similar) and report design would be an advantage but not essential.
* A strong collaborator who can challenge and influence colleagues at all levels.
* Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, including report writing.
* A self-starter, with a high degree of analytical rigour with the ability to think commercially and strategically while working with detail.
* A strong team player with a growth mindset.
