Job Description Role Purpose:
The post holder will provide a quality, evidence-based Social Work service, including assessment of family needs and advisory, practical, and skilled emotional supports to children and young people aged 0-18 years and their families within the Children's Disability Network Team.
This service is delivered within the Progressing Disabilities Services for Children and Young People framework, with interdisciplinary team working and family-centered practice at its core.
The role involves direct intervention with children and families and contributing to specific team projects or developments as directed by the CDNT Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plans and organises activities and necessary resources efficiently and effectively.
* Understands the importance of time management and prioritising their caseload and workload.
* Demonstrates persistence and flexibility in dealing with unexpected scenarios under supervision.
* Maintains a disciplined and professional level of performance under sustained or situational pressure.
* Incorporates Social Work values and ethical principles in planning and implementing interventions.
The ideal candidate must be registered with and maintain registration on the Social Work Register maintained by CORU. They should have experience working with children and families, disability services, and safeguarding.
A full driving licence is also required.
