We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team at Cork North Nursing Home in Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct internal audits, follow up on results, and implement recommendations.
* Develop and deliver initial induction programs for new staff, as well as ongoing training and development opportunities.
* Foster innovative practice and encourage staff to think creatively.
* Evaluate and ensure adherence to company policies, HIQA standards, procedures, and guidelines.
* Hold regular communication meetings with clinical staff to discuss performance, goals, and concerns.
* Establish strong relationships with external community agencies, promoting the nursing home's involvement in local events and activities.
* Liaise with marketing to increase the home's visibility in the local community.
* Implement and maintain a comprehensive health and safety policy to protect staff, residents, and visitors.
* Organize regular fire drills and evacuation plans to ensure everyone's safety.
* Maintain the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness within the home.
* Oversee a preventative maintenance program to ensure the home remains safe and functional.
* Participate in the selection and interviewing process for new staff.
* Conduct regular training needs analyses to identify areas for improvement.
* Ensure that clinical practices meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Requirements:
* A qualified nurse with at least 3 years of management experience in the care of older adults within the past 6 years.
* A post-registration management qualification in healthcare or a related field.
* A proven track record in healthcare clinical management, demonstrating leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
* Strong decision-making abilities and a results-driven approach.
