Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist Neurological Rehabilitation
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our Neuro-rehabilitation service in The Royal Hospital Donnybrook. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced therapist to lead the development of our occupational therapy service and contribute to the implementation of our Neuro-rehabilitation Strategy.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to patients with neurological conditions. They will possess strong clinical skills, including assessment, treatment, and discharge planning, as well as leadership and management abilities. We are looking for someone who can work collaboratively with patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality occupational therapy services to patients with neurological conditions
* Lead the development of our occupational therapy service, including promoting evidence-based practice and research
* Contribute to the implementation of our Neuro-rehabilitation Strategy and Managed Clinical Rehabilitation Network (MCRN)
* Work collaboratively with patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes
* Maintain a caseload and provide clinical leadership in the day-to-day running of the service
* Develop and maintain a high standard of clinical practice through clinical evaluation, audit, and evidence-based practice
Requirements
* Registered on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU
* Five years full-time post-qualification clinical experience, including four consecutive years in the required area of specialism
* Postgraduate qualifications or relevant courses demonstrating continuing professional development relevant to the required area of specialism
* A proven record of clinical excellence, including achievement in clinical audit, quality improvement initiatives, practice development, teaching, and research
* Advanced skills and knowledge in specialised seating, splinting, and rehabilitation
