**Quality Inspector Job Description**
A precision machine parts manufacturer based in Dundalk is seeking a Quality Inspector. With over several decades of experience and a headcount of over 100 people, the company has established its reputation in the Irish engineering market as one of the leading practices in precision engineering.

This role is a 6 month fixed term contract and site-based in Dundalk. The successful Quality Inspector will perform the following tasks:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out precision measurements using a variety of metrology equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
2. Perform inspections on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure they meet specified tolerances and quality standards.
3. Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine inspection criteria.
4. Record and analyse measurement data, identifying trends and deviations from specifications.
5. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
6. Maintain and calibrate metrology equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
7. Document inspection results and prepare detailed reports.
8. Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and standards.
About You:
We are looking for candidates who have experience working as a quality inspector in a previous role. Preference is given to candidates with experience in precision engineering or metal fabrication. Toolmakers, CNC setters, or CNC operators interested in transitioning to quality are also encouraged to apply.
Package Details:
The salary for this position is €35k - €38k (pro rata). Additional benefits include healthcare discounts and 22 days holiday per year. We encourage applications from candidates living within a commutable distance to Dundalk.
