Role Description:
The Automation Engineer is responsible for the configuration, operation, maintenance, and administration of the process and facility control and data historian systems to cover all manufacturing systems including supporting Utility (GMP and GEP) from a sustaining perspective.
What you’ll do:
1. Develop, review, and approve design documentation and project standards.
2. Provide automation expertise for engineering, operations, and sustaining decisions.
3. Establish and implement SOPs for automation compliance and management.
4. Ensure automation systems remain compliant and qualified.
5. Support validation activities.
6. Optimize equipment performance through cross-functional collaboration.
7. Train personnel on automation aspects of equipment.
8. Design and implement automation solutions per site change control procedures.
9. Lead automation project teams when required.
10. Collaborate with project leads on priorities and timelines.
The Requirements:
1. 8+ years of automation experience in GMP environments and applications, Fill finish preferred.
2. Expertise in Siemens TIA (and non-TIA), WinCC, Desigo, AVEVA InTouch & Historians.
3. Proven experience managing and collaborating with system integrators.
4. Proficient in maintaining control networks (Profibus, Ethernet).
5. Experience with OSI PI, SQL Server, virtualization platforms, and IT is a plus.
6. Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
