Head of FinanceA challenging opportunity has arisen for a Head of Finance to join our client based in South Dublin.This is an exciting role that will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to lead and develop a high-performing finance team.The benefits of this role include:Competitive salary: €90,000 - €110,000 per annum (dependent on experience)28 days annual leavePRSA pension schemeHealth insurance after 6 monthsJob DescriptionThe Head of Finance will be responsible for:Developing and implementing financial strategies, policies, and plans aligned with the organization's goals and objectivesProviding leadership and direction to the finance team, including financial managers, analysts, and accountantsOverseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and risk managementManaging the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads and senior managementMonitoring financial performance against budget, forecast, and key performance indicators (KPIs), analysing variances and trendsEnsuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, reports, and disclosures in accordance with accounting principles and regulatory requirementsCoordinating and liaising with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agenciesDeveloping and maintaining effective internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure integrity in financial reportingAssessing and managing financial risks, including currency exchange risk, interest rate risk, credit risk, and market riskLeading financial analysis and modelling initiatives to support strategic decision-making and business planningEvaluating and optimizing capital structure, financing options, and investment opportunitiesProviding financial insights and guidance to senior management and the board of directorsLeading mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities, including due diligence, valuation, negotiation, and integration effortsRequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferredMinimum of 5 years of experience in finance, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership roleStrong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and regulatory requirementsProven experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysisExcellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
