We are excited to be partnering with a leading organization in Cork who have an excellent opportunity for an AP Lead to join their well established AP Team. This opportunity has arisen due to internal progression and will play a critical role in providing leadership and expertise to the AP team.
It is both a people-focused management role and a chance to contribute to strategic projects within the organization.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
1. People Management: Lead, train, and provide guidance to AP team members, ensuring their growth and success.
2. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to manage performance and plan career development.
3. Participate in recruitment, retention, and contribute to broader management strategies with innovative ideas for team motivation and growth.
4. Process Optimization: Manage and streamline processes for maximum efficiency, ensuring scalability for future needs.
5. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by introducing fresh ideas to enhance efficiency and refine processes.
6. Compliance: Ensure team adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations and other compliance requirements.
7. Collaborate with other AP Leads to oversee month-end close activities, driving the team to meet critical deadlines.
8. Support cross-functional projects within the Procure-to-Pay (PTP) function, working closely with senior management and other stakeholders.
9. Stay informed on industry trends and advancements in technology to enhance strategic planning and operational effectiveness.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
1. Proven experience in people leadership, ideally within Accounts Payable or PTP environments.
2. Familiarity with Corporate Card and T&E expense management is advantageous.
3. Passion for people management and leadership, with a focus on development and empowerment.
4. Strong process-oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
5. Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across various business functions.
6. High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
7. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
