Responsibilities
1. Bringing to life our social media strategy that aligns with our brand and makes us stand out across our social media channels.
2. Scheduling and publishing content across all social channels in accordance with the content calendar.
3. Creating entertaining, engaging content – including filming and editing short-form videos, writing compelling captions, and visual graphics.
4. Liaising with design and/or video agencies to create content for social media.
5. Researching social media trends that align with our brand and identifying opportunities to extend reach or connect with new audiences through digital channels.
6. Leveraging internal social media talent to bring authentic content to life.
7. Managing a monthly TikTok content brainstorming session to collaborate on video content for TikTok.
8. Monitoring social conversations and identifying comments or threads that could impact brand reputation and responding as per guidance from the Digital Marketing and Social Media Executive.
9. Creating content for monthly paid social media campaigns.
10. Tracking key social media metrics and making data-driven recommendations on improvements.
11. Supporting the wider digital marketing team and communications department with key projects and national/regional campaigns.
To ensure that activity peaks within the department are addressed proactively, it is expected that the candidate appointed to this role will need to be flexible in terms of working hours during these periods.
Knowledge & Skills
The knowledge and skills required include but are not limited to the following:
1. Creative with an eye for design and presenting visual material.
2. A passion for social media, in all forms, and an understanding of how to drive reach and engagement.
3. Strong video production and editing skills for social media.
4. Comfortable with filming, presenting, and directing content.
5. Strong design skills with good levels of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
6. High level of computer literacy.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:
1. Third level qualification (a minimum Level 6 on NFQ or greater) in Digital Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or Journalism.
2. A minimum of two years’ directly relevant experience working with social media and creating various types of content for different channels such as TikTok, Meta, and LinkedIn.
3. Demonstrated smartphone video production and editing skills.
4. Excellent communication (written and editing) skills with a focus on error-free content.
5. Well-developed IT skills including MS Office.
6. Understanding of social media KPIs and metrics.
7. Good levels of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite/Photoshop/InDesign/Canva.
8. Knowledge of SEO best practices and content optimization for social media.
