Job Title: IT Support Engineer
PFH Technology is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Support Engineer to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install and configure computer hardware and peripherals, operating systems, and applications.
* Knowledge of internal components of a desktop computer, including storage drives, motherboard, and power supply.
* Familiarity with SATA, M.2, or NVMe.
* Ability to access and configure the BIOS/UEFI.
* Manage partitions, format the drive, etc.
On-Site Support:
* Provide on-site support in specific sites or multiple sites using a mobile setup.
* Liaise with Coordinators to receive upgrade schedules and ensure timely resolution of issues.
Service Desk Calls:
* Respond to Service Desk calls in a timely manner and manage any issues through to resolution.
* Travel to sites to support users within our geographical region.
Customer Relationships:
* Establish and build good working relationships with customers and end-users.
* Liaise with third-party vendors for software and hardware installations.
Requirements:
* Full clean driving license.
* 3+ years' experience in an IT environment, preferably with Windows 10 installations.
* Demonstrate good problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
* Excellent customer service skills with an ability to empathize with users.
Education and Competencies:
* Third-level education qualification preferred.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
* Proven ability to organize work and take responsibility.
