We are hiring an energetic, detail-oriented individual passionate about data centers to join our Data Center Engineering Operations Team. This team maintains the critical physical infrastructure supporting AWS, ensuring 100% availability of data center MEP systems and providing excellent customer service.
The team manages electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within data centers, including risk management, preventive and corrective maintenance, vendor management, and reporting.
Key job responsibilities
1. Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on facility operations and maintenance.
2. Manage on-site technicians, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring compliance with procedures.
3. Manage relationships with third-party colocation providers and their staff.
4. Operate and manage critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS, power distribution, chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, and building monitoring systems.
5. Plan and report on data center capacity.
6. Assist in designing and constructing new facilities.
7. Participate in projects to enhance facility efficiency.
8. Coordinate with IT and business leaders to manage projects, capacity, safety, performance, reliability, and efficiency.
9. Deliver quality service meeting customer demands.
10. Procure related expenditures.
11. Manage assets and inventory.
Qualifications include at least 8 years of experience in data center or mission-critical systems engineering, operations, or support; a bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering; business-level English and fluent Korean; and a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in critical data center operations. Certifications such as CDCP, PMP, LEED, or related are preferred.
