Software Development Manager, AWS Security
DESCRIPTION
As a Software Development Manager (SDM), you'll help to build and manage services that detect and automate the mitigation of cybersecurity threats across Amazon's infrastructure. You'll manage software development engineers, security engineers, and data scientists to develop innovative security solutions at massive scale. Our services protect the AWS cloud for all customers and preserve our customers' trust in us. You'll get to use the full power and breadth of AWS technologies to build services that proactively protect every single AWS customer, both internally and externally, from security threats - not many teams can say that!
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience in engineering team management
- Experience in engineering
- Experience in leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services
- Experience partnering with product and program management teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching, and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
