ICT Services are currently seeking a Desktop Support Engineer, working on one of our customer sites in Ringaskiddy. This is a 6-month contract initially, with an extension available.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide remote and desk side support services to end users.
2. Troubleshoot PC related problems either via phone, remote tools or desk side support.
3. Build, configure and troubleshoot PC and laptop applications and hardware components.
4. Be responsible for the day to day technical support for client environment.
5. Install and configure new client hardware using global standards.
6. Liaise with remote workplace services colleagues to resolve client hardware issues.
7. Ensure asset tracking database is updated based on additions and changes to hardware assignment.
8. Interface with local management team on hardware requirements for users and site.
9. Support printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
10. Be responsible for configuration and distribution of mobile phones.
11. Support mobile devices, such as iPads and iPhones.
Requirements:
1. Competence in desktop support with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
2. Knowledge of hardware, driver, and software support.
3. Basic knowledge of network infrastructure including patching/cabling.
4. Good problem-solving skills.
