The RoleOur client, located in Tipperary, is looking to recruit a Key Account Manager to join their Sales team.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the role focuses on the Irish and UK retail markets to maximise sales opportunities and ensure sales budget goals are achieved for our product portfolio.
Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to:
Co-own the sales budgets for specific retailer accounts alongside the Commercial ManagerBe an active and key member of the Commercial teamAchieve revenue and margin targets by executing the sales strategy in target marketsAccurately forecast product requirements and business potentialGather customer data on current use and future needs to identify market opportunitiesCreate new sales opportunities from the existing portfolioUtilise efficient account planning and reporting programs currently in placeCollaborate closely with finance on DSO, credit limits, and overdue paymentsMaintain compliance with the Food Quality and Safety system and drive continuous improvements in food safety cultureThe PersonSkills / Qualifications/ Experience Minimum 1-3 years in a similar positionA third-level qualification is desirable, but specific experience in sales of private label FMCG goods is essentialAbility to build a stable customer base for long-term profitable growthExperience in key account sales/business management, especially in sales growth scenarios, with the ability to present, be credible, and win business from high-calibre customersSome experience in the Retail Sector and FMCGStrong commercial acumen, numeracy, and pricing abilityHighly motivated and resilientExperience in winning, keeping, and growing new accountsUnderstanding of how decisions impact the business and customersAbility to work in a stressful environmentStrong analytical and planning skillsProven ability to sell solutions rather than off-the-shelf or packaged productsGood understanding of technical and quality matters, and best practices in the food industryStrong IT and spreadsheet skillsTechnical acumen to collaborate with other departmentsApply NowName
