Drama Teacher
Permanent Post
28 Hours per week
As a Drama Teacher, you will play a vital role in helping service users with intellectual disabilities explore their creativity, boost their confidence through the magic of drama and self-expression. This is a unique opportunity to combine your love of teaching and theatre while making a real impact on the lives of service users. You will also be responsible for developing and producing theatrical productions that showcase our service user talents. To be successful in this job, you must be passionate about theatre and working with service users with intellectual disabilities. You will need excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Essential Requirements
Qualification:
1. Education and Training to 3rd level standard - Advanced/Higher Certificate - Teaching and/or drama qualification preferred
Experience:
1. Experience of working with people with additional support needs including intellectual disabilities, ASD, physical and sensory needs and/or mental health difficulties.
2. A solid understanding or experience in drama or theatre is essential.
3. Full clean driving licence and willingness to drive as part of role.
