About the roleWe have a rare opportunity for a PDW Supervisor to join us, at our plant in Listowel.
This is a hands-on role, responsible for a shift team of 40 operators, walking the plant to identify the issues that may arise, managing the roster to make sure we meet production targets and schedules and managing holidays.
You will be working within SAP, identifying training needs and requirements for operators as well as in H&S, organizing training, reworking downgrades and carrying out day to day business admin.

This is a day shift position, Monday – Friday 8am-5pm with 1 weekend in 6.
What you'll be doingDay Supervision of MIS, Butter, Whey and Casein factoriesProduction admin as required eg.
Log sheets, product traces etc.
Directing and supervising cleaning activities within the factoriesSAP supervision and co-ordinate SAP trainingMaintaining the roster and managing operator/ shift supervisor holiday allocations and required coverLiaising with the Dept.
of Ag on product enquiriesHealth & Safety management for your area incl.
Swops, Don't Walk By Cards, incident/ accident investigations/ Maintaining training recordsSuccession planning to ensure adequate coverage for all operator rolesPayroll – Kronos sign offBe a role model for personnel in terms of performance, behaviours and cultureEnsure all activities have adequate operator coverage to ensure production targets are metHelp to promote a culture of quality and safety compliance within the area by demonstrating those behaviours.
Ensure the team are engaged in quality and safety initiatives to improve the compliance cultureInvolvement in Process Improvement ProjectsAchievement of Safety & Quality targets e.g.
Product Grading, Lost Time AccidentsSupporting shift supervisors on day to day activitiesTrouble shooting technical production issuesWhat you can bring to the rolePrevious experience within a similar role within production leadershipPrior experience within the dairy/food manufacturing industryLeaving cert minimumExperience with SAP and Kronos would be desirable but similar systems are a must, as we can provide training on these.
