Our awesome complex infrastructure team make the biggest, most complex and ambitious infrastructure projects happen.
Having achieved exciting and sustained growth across our complex infrastructure sector and with further growth potential, we are looking to recruit more talent to bolster our client development and delivery teams in Ireland. Due to our continued growth, we are looking for an exceptional Cost Manager with strong and proven Infrastructure experience, notably for Rail, Highways, Energy, Aviation and Water sectors, to take a position in our Dublin Complex Infrastructure team. The individual must be ambitious, wanting to progress within our business and will play a key role in supporting the growth of our Complex Infrastructure Business Unit. The role will involve delivering and winning work with both existing and new clients and working with the Head of Cost Management to ensure our technical standard is kept to the highest standard, whilst having a strong team working ethos and delivering in accordance with AtkinsRéalis’ digital aspirations.
This role will involve delivery, team management and business growth and working with external key strategic partners, new clients and internal partners across the entire business.
You will be specifically responsible for the delivery of multiple commissions and support the Head of Cost Management and Head of Discipline in recruiting high calibre individuals that will deliver excellence to our clients and represent our brand in a positive way
Specific Requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responsibilities:
Reporting into the Head of Discipline, you will be a senior member of the Complex Infrastructure Cost & Estimating management team responsible for growing the existing team and building long term, sustainable team relationships with our Complex Infrastructure clients.
What you will bring:
1. A Cost Management or Quantity Surveying Qualification or similar.
2. 5+years experience in infrastructure.
3. a strong knowledge of NEC and FIDIC forms of contract.
4. Recognised expertise in Cost Management services across infrastructure (either Rail, Highways, Water & other utilities, Aviation or Energy).
5. An excellent understanding of industry benchmarks / best practices, Work Breakdown Structures and methods of measurements (e.g. RMM, MMHW etc).
6. Strong network within the infrastructure sector.
7. Proven track record of service innovation, technical excellence and exceptional service delivery.
8. Technical ability to challenge engineering teams and identify/cost efficient design solutions.
9. Comprehensive understanding of the tasks facing transport sector and the opportunities available.
10. Commercial and quantity surveying skills or Finance skills, with full working knowledge of the construction industry.
11. A high level of understanding and the ability to develop performance measurement of projects using Earned Value Management (EVM) and similar techniques.
12. Major project/programmes of work experience.

18. Deliver an exceptional cost management service for multiple stakeholders.
19. Identify opportunities for strategic recruitment and associated investments by the business, linked to the Complex Infrastructure business strategy.
20. Ensure appropriate engagement with the wider AtkinsR business, as determined by the strategy.
21. Contribute to a positive team ethos and continue to create opportunities for the team’s development.
Technical leadership:
22. Actively broaden your experience and expertise in line with the core competencies.
23. Have an up-to-date and developing knowledge of legal and technical matters relevant to the work you do, and the law of the region or country in which you practice.
24. Participating in relevant internal/external training initiatives.
25. Applying the concepts of quality assurance and environmental management.
26. Managing the client relationship and service delivery.
Team building and management:
27. Helping grow our service and sector-focussed teams.
28. Work in a team of Cost Managers at various levels within a project delivery environment.
29. Work in a national team of Cost Managers at various levels within AtkinsRéalis.
Attributes:
30. Proven track record to supervise projects for or on behalf of local or national Complex Infrastructure clients.
31. Proven track record of working in a consultancy environment, delivering exceptional projects,
32. Degree qualified in a construction or finance related field. Preferably with RICS, ICE, AACE, ACostE or similar.
