About the Job
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Engineer to join our team in Cork for a 12-month contract. This is a full-time onsite role.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with Value Streams to identify opportunities for enhancing equipment through automation, vision systems, robotics, and more.
* Partner with Product Development to define equipment needs for new product introductions.
* Contribute to outlining specifications for new equipment (URS).
* Engage with vendors to assess equipment proposals, assist in vendor selection, and manage capital approval processes.
* Play a key role in evaluating new equipment design and Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).
* Oversee the transfer and validation of equipment from other locations.
* Manage departmental budgets and capital expenditures.
Skills & Experience
* Degree in Engineering-Manufacturing, Mechanical, or related field (Level 8).
* In-depth knowledge of medical device manufacturing and equipment validation.
* Strong experience in creating and updating validation documentation.
* 2-4 years of experience in the medical device industry.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to work effectively within a team.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with a solutions-focused approach.
