DESCRIPTION
As a Regional Data Centre Logistics Manager, you will own building success for the storage warehouse areas and parts distribution network within Ireland. The Regional Logistics Manager supports the Data Centre Operations team by maintaining receiving, and distribution operations of parts, consumables and other supplies by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
This is a strategic role that is part of our regional leadership team and you will be responsible for developing strategies to drive operational excellence across the region. You'll also have the opportunity to manage and develop a team of managers, honing your leadership skills as you guide them in executing complex logistics operations. Your ability to mentor, coach, and empower these leaders will be crucial in scaling our operations and maintaining Amazon's high standards of excellence across multiple data centre sites.
Key job responsibilities
• We work in a high security environment with sensitive equipment and maintaining this security and accountability will be a primary task.
• Safeguard operations and contents by establishing and monitoring safety and security procedures and protocols.
• Working with Procurement and other Regional Logistics Manager's control inventory levels by ensuring your team conduct physical counts and reconcile with inventory management tools.
• Your team is responsible for the security and tracking of parts within the storage areas and to the end user.
• Ensure appropriate staffing for the logistics function. Maintain Logistics staff productivity and goals by managing and coaching members of your team; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Contribute to continuous process improvements to deliver on our goals of high availability and low cost.
• Maintain up-to-date metrics dashboards, develop reports and present results as required.
• Develop and deliver, along with your team, the logistics strategy to support the region business objectives
• Comply with local warehousing, Health & Safety and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising senior management on needed actions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Must hold a recognized third level professional qualification in Supply Chain Management or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 8 years' experience working in Logistics.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in people management and 3 years managing other managers.
• Experience in Inventory Management Systems and distribution and warehousing practices.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in Data Centre or hi-tech environments, with 3+ years in IT industry.
• Proficiency in IT systems, networks, and data analysis.
• Experience using metrics to perform analysis and drive decisions.
• Demonstrated ability in process documentation and knowledge of import/export practices.
• Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Valid driving license and willingness to move around between the different data centre locations.
