We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Service Manager to join our client, a leading facilities management company based in Cork.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the team and demonstrate a positive attitude.
2. Manage a team of engineers and technicians who perform mechanical service and maintenance tasks.
3. Coordinate, plan, and schedule jobs including planned, reactive, and project-related work. The Service Desk team will provide support, but you must ensure customer satisfaction and staff productivity.
4. Motivate staff, deliver excellent customer service, and maintain effective communication.
5. Manage commercial activities from initial sales enquiries to final invoicing, ensuring cost control and profitability.
6. Collaborate with the HR department on workforce strategy, performance management, conflict resolution, training, and development, promoting positive staff morale and satisfaction levels.
Requirements
* Excellent organisational skills, including planning, scheduling, and coordination.
* An effective communicator with staff, customers, and the operations team, with flexibility to meet customer expectations.
* Prior experience in leading mobile technical staff is ideal.
* A shared vision and mission with employees.
* The ability to recognise and celebrate employee accomplishments.
* A mechanical or electrical background, preferably with HVAC or Air Conditioning trade qualifications or an engineering degree.
* A willingness to learn and improve, along with the field service engineers.
* A desire to grow the business and lead the company towards achieving its goals.
