PLC Programmer / Automation Engineer.
Our client develops and manufactures production and packaging equipment for industry.
We have been retained to recruit a PLC Programmer / Automation Engineer.
There is flexibility as to where the successful candidate might be living.
In this role you will:
* Commission and test control programs for packaging machines at the company's plant in Germany and at the customer's site in Ireland
* Implementation and documentation of software tests for programs
* Create and edit HMI systems for machines
* Analyze problems and troubleshoot issues remotely or at customer site
* Carry out maintenance/ modification visits at customer site
Requirements for this role:
* Degree in Electronic / Automation Engineering
* Relevant industrial experience in an automation role, ideally in the pharmaceutical/ medical device industry
* Good working knowledge of PLC programming, especially Schneider and Rockwell (Allen Bradley), Codesys, or other PLC systems
* Creativity and inventiveness in the solution of complex requirements
* Personal initiative and independent work
* High communication and teamwork skills
* Good written and spoken English language skills is required.. German language skills not essential but advantageous.
