Barden are delighted to have been asked to act exclusively on behalf of the Head of Finance of an Irish SME to identify a Part-Qualified Accountant to join their team on a 6-month fixed term contract.
This is an exciting time for our client as they are experiencing significant growth and are looking for someone who is happy to get started straight away and who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and assist with a variety of tasks across the finance function.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
* Manage daily communications, address financial queries, process payments, and perform bank reconciliations.
* Prepare monthly management accounts, including financial statements and cash flow reports.
* Post journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.
* Review and reconcile daily transactions and cash accounts.
* Prepare, review, and reconcile VAT returns for Irish and UK entities.
* Handle back-dated audit queries, ensuring all audit requirements are met and providing necessary support.
* Reconcile creditor and debtor accounts regularly, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
* Maintain accurate and complete financial records.
* Assist with budget preparation and forecasting.
* Ensure VAT compliance and timely submission of returns.
* Perform any additional duties as required.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
* At least 3 years of experience in a dynamic finance role.
* Experience with finance roles involving both Irish and UK companies is advantageous.
* Experience with HMRC is advantageous but not necessary.
* Strong commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.
* Positive attitude with excellent communication skills.
* Ability to handle responsibility, prioritize tasks, and approach work with flexibility and innovation.
* Courteous, friendly, and professional in interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
* This role involves significant data assembly, input, and management in a busy office environment.
