The role of Electrical Contracts Manager is pivotal to Irwin M&E's ongoing growth and success.
As a Contracts manager, you will be expected to effectively and efficiently undertake the below tasks:
* Good communication with IME teams, client teams and other trades on site is essential.
* Managing, monitoring and successfully delivering Electrical Contracts for our clients within a range of sectors including Commercial, Education, Healthcare, Leisure and Large-Scale Residential
* Oversight of multiple electrical projects ongoing within the business ensuring they are being delivered in line with agreed standards, specifications and drawings whilst maximising profitability.
* Having good working relationships with our clients and regularly visiting active sites to ensure that all works are programmed and completed in a professional controlled manner.
Responsibilities:
* Providing technical support to clients and team
* Preparing and presenting internal monthly contract reports detailing key performance indicators as well as stringent cost reporting.
* Prepare and issue project technical submittals alongside Pre-construction team.
* Assisting pre-construction managers and purchasing department with project procurement ensuring specifications and drawing requirements are being complied with.
* Identifying and implementing more efficient ways of carrying out company processes
* Monitoring and costing contract change instructions/variations
* Working closely with commercial teams to monitor cash flow, sales forecasts and accurately project profit and loss forecasts.
* Ensuring quality of work and compliance with all legal and statutory requirements.
* Coordinating and planning the sub-contract resources ensure that the sub-contractor supply chain have the required amount of labour to keep in-line with main contractor programme.
* Completing detailed project progress reports with photographs.
* Problem Solving; You will be expected to be able to cope with unforeseen M&E technical problems with confidence and ease
* Completing monthly H & S site audits.
* Ensuring weekly plant and access equipment checks are completed by site management team.
* Ensuring adherence to all site safety and quality standards.
* Managing the testing and commissioning so that all certification is in place in advance of project completion.
* Ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with our written policies and good practice
Requirements:
* A fully qualified electrician or higher
* Experience in leading & managing a team
* Excellent communication skills
* Working knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation
* Experience in commercial and industrial sectors
* IT literate, e.g. proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel or similar
* Full driving licence
