Senior Quantity Surveyor, Dublin Port (Site Based)

Main Purpose of Role: Delivery of Commercial Management Services for individual projects. To provide assistance, support, and advice on all commercial issues within the Project(s).
Duties:
* Preparation of bottom-up forecasts at contract award stage.
* Preparation and management of subcontract and material procurement schedules.
* Drafting of supply chain ITT's including terms of engagement for subcontracts and professional services.
* Ensuring cost to date recorded at each month end is accurate including calculation of project accruals.
* Preparation and maintenance of an up-to-date Cost to Complete and Risk analysis Register for the projects(s).
* Preparation of monthly CVR reports and any other reports required for the project(s).
* Maximising of cash position, including WIP control, cash flow production & improvement plans.
* Identifying commercial risks, opportunities, value engineering and change.
* Challenge & manage in cost control / cost mitigation.
* Measurement of quantities in accordance with the standard methods of measurement as required.
* Preparation of Valuations/Application for payment to the Client with full supporting documentation in accordance with the contract.
* Undertake administration of the contract, including change management and maintenance of associated registers.
* Ensure appropriate Client Management is initiated and maintained.
* Preparation, negotiation, and agreement of compensation events.
* Administration of subcontractor/supplier accounts from the preparation of detailed requisitions, monitoring and authorisation of subcontract payments through to agreement of final accounts.
* Ensure the correct site records are maintained.
* As part of the Site Team, assist in work winning duties as required, including technical writing for PQQ responses.
* Identification and advice upon of insurance related issues, including PI.
* Undertake any other work as required of you by your line manager Help manage and support junior commercial team.
* Establish and promote best practice in health, safety, and environmental matters in conjunction with the SHESQ department.
Requirements:
* Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying/Construction Economics (RICS Accredited)
* Desirable - Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) or equivalent.
* Full driving license.
* Commercially astute.
* Excellent knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 forms of contract Excellent knowledge of CESSM4 method of Measurement.
* 5+ years Experience.
* Computer literate with strong skills in Microsoft Office Applications (Word/Excel/Outlook/Power Point)
* Good communication skills including presentations and ability to negotiate and persuade others.
* Programming techniques, project controls, risk analysis, contract admin, procurement, cost, claims.
* Marine & Civils experience would be a distinct advantage
