We are seeking to hire an Investment Analyst – the ideal candidate will have; (i) 1-2 years’ experience in a corporate lending (private credit or corporate banking), corporate finance or private equity environment or; (ii) relevant internship experience completed during their undergraduate / graduate studies.
The role offers hands-on experience in credit analysis, deal execution and portfolio management within a small investment team, with regular exposure to senior investment professionals and Investment Committee.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assisting with due diligence, the preparation of investment committee materials and execution of investment opportunities.
2. Analysing financial statements and preparing monthly and quarterly reports for the wider team.
3. Preparation and maintenance of financial models.
4. Research and general industry analysis including investment drivers and risks.
5. Attending meetings with management of potential investee and portfolio companies.
6. Ongoing monitoring of portfolio companies.
7. Additional DunPort corporate tasks, including marketing, administration and miscellaneous tasks.
Experience and Skills
1. Excellent overall academic profile with a desire to pursue professional qualifications such as the CFA / ACA (support for exams offered by DCM).
2. Strong analytical capability, both quantitative and qualitative. Ability to analyse key risk / drivers and form a view on investment attractiveness.
3. Excellent communication skills and a strong capacity and desire to use initiative.
4. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a small team.
5. Ability to demonstrate commercial thinking, alongside a positive and flexible ‘can-do’ attitude to all aspects of work.
6. Good proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
