Technical IT Manager - Infrastructure Solutions Salary Level = €85-90K - No other benefits, apart from paid holidays & contributory pension. International Outsourcing Services Multinational is seeking a specialist within its Technology Solutions / IT Operations Services Division, to be based primarily on-site in a demanding public-sector client site in Dublin, with some remote-working flexibility (min 3 days per week on-site required). We are seeking a Technically strong Infrastructure Ops Manager / Architect - the role is challenging purely because you will be managing client expectations while utilising the technical services of a 3rd party IT Managed services provider to deliver the technical expertise to implement & support the technical deliverables. In addition to client interfacing & strong stakeholder management skills, we are looking for a Technology Professional ideally with Level 3 knowledge of Wintel, VMware virtualised & hosted environments. The key here is that we are seeking both sets of skills - a Technically in-depth knowledge & experience of Infrastructure coupled with strong stakeholder management & services management expertise. The role will carry the following expectations: Responsibilities: Technical management of the 3rd party technical infrastructure engineers & IT support specialists Ensuring incidents & requests assigned to Level 2 & Level 3 teams are resolved according to agreed client SLA's Co-ordinate activities between Technical Teams & third-party vendors to resolve all incidents efficiently & speedily Manage the implementation of approved changes Responsible for maintaining the health of the managed service infrastructure Build collaborative relationships with technical delivery teams, external suppliers and your internal key client stakeholders Ownership of call response and resolution Work closely with IT Service Management & Lifecycle teams to provide support for all customer issues, major incidents, escalations and service improvement activities Expertise / Experience that we are looking for: Proven experience in leading technical teams with current, hands-on expert knowledge of infrastructure technologies (Windows, VMware, virtualisation / Hosting, UNIX & on-prem cloud), ideally within a managed service provider organisation (or IT Department) Experienced in fostering excellent working relationships with Senior Execs / Directors/ Senior Management, as well as key Technology Specialists in Infrastructure & IT Technical Support. Proven track record of managing an infrastructure related ICT service Expertise in supporting/managing technologies such as: Windows Server, infrastructure (SAN, Virtualization - Vmware), MS Exchange and content filtering technologies, enterprise level backup solutions (such as Commvault), monitoring (SolarWinds) and Citrix application delivery Experience of managing call response and resolution Technical team management, ITIL standards and procedures Change, release, problem, incident and capacity management experience Ability to persuade, influence, problem-solve & communicate across all levels of an organisation Location: Dublin based site, office - so you must be able to attend in-office (3 days min/wk) NO SPONSORSHIP provided, so You MUST hold EU/EEA or UK citizenship or hold existing full rights to work in Ireland.
