Your New Job:
You will be responsible for overseeing procurement operations, ensuring cost-effective purchasing, managing supplier relationships, and maintaining inventory levels.
This permanent role suits a candidate with experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field, who is ready to play a pivotal role in the organisation's operational success.
Buyer Responsibilities:
Manage the procurement and supply of goods and services required for the companys operations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating improved terms and pricing.
Conduct market research to monitor price changes and supplier trends.
Oversee and resolve supplier-related issues, including quality, supply, and performance.
Collaborate with internal teams, particularly production, to confirm weekly schedules and align procurement activities.
Place and track purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of goods in line with agreed specifications and prices.
Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and implement strategies to prevent overstocking while maximising cost savings.
Leverage the new ERP system to optimise procurement operations and reporting.
Buyer Requirements:
Proven experience in procurement, supply chain, or a similar role.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
