Windows Server Administrator - Dublin North - €300 per day Government regulatory agency based on North Dublin urgently requires a Windows Server Administrator to join them for a key project that is just about to start.
While this role is initially offered on a day rate contract basis for a period of 9 months, there is a very strong probability of it becoming permanent either before or on completion of the current project.
While we are looking for an experienced and preferably certified windows server administrator, a key criterion for this role is availability - We really need someone of site within the next two weeks.
Responsibilities of role: The Server Administrator will be responsible for maintaining the systems and servers of the organisation's Windows operating system.
This will involve (1) Installing, configuring and supporting Windows based physical/virtual servers and (2) Deploying and testing Windows operating systems including virus updates, patches and performance tuning.
They will also assist in reviewing system/application logs verify completion of scheduled jobs, (Including system backups).
Analyse network/server resource consumption and control user access.
When required, they will Install/upgrade software and maintain software licenses.
Essential Candidate Requirements 1.
3 Years experience in a role that involved windows server administration 2.
Third level qualification in computer science, IT or other area directly relevant to this role 3.
Relevant Microsoft certifications such as: Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert, Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate or Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate.
(Legacy qualifications MCSA/MCSEalong with relevant experience may also suffice) 4.
ITIL Certification 5.
