Job Title: Mechanical Project/Contracts Manager
About the Company
We are an engineering company that works on new construction projects for well-known companies in Ireland. Our clients include those in the Pharmaceutical, Food and Beverage, and Medical Device industries. In addition to new construction projects, we also provide process engineering services from client sites.
The Role
We are seeking a Mechanical Project/Contracts Manager to lead our new pharmaceutical project in Kerry. As a Mechanical Project/Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple mechanical contracts simultaneously, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling of projects from conception to completion.
You will coordinate with design and engineering teams to ensure that all projects meet client specifications and are delivered on time and within budget. Regular site visits and inspections will be conducted to monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
You will establish and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, and negotiate contracts and agreements as needed. You will manage the financial aspects of each project, including cost control, budgeting, and forecasting.
All work must comply with relevant legislation, codes, and standards, including health and safety regulations. You will liaise with internal departments to ensure that all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
You will support in preparing proposals and bids for new projects. Ensure structures are put in place to monitor, review and control the budgeted or agreed expenditure. Implement cost and value procedures and ensure that all necessary commercial reports are produced accurately and in a timely fashion to Senior Management.

Requirements
A mechanical background with a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required. 10+ years of experience as a Project / Contracts Manager is essential. Knowledge of Mechanical, HVAC and Process systems, including their design, installation, and operation is necessary.
Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management are required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors are essential.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well under pressure is required. Must be able to travel within Europe. A full driving license is also required.
