Supplier Procurement Engineer
This is a permanent position located in Dublin North, requiring 3-5 years of prior experience.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and experience:
* A combination of technical skills with a keen interest in commercial and supply chain aspects.
* An understanding of various supplier manufacturing technologies and processes, as well as supplier controls and industry standards.
* Specialist knowledge of related commodities such as metal fabrication, metal machining, plastic molding, PCBA, cables, optics, fluidics, etc., would be an advantage.
* A solid understanding of best practices in Engineering Change management.
* The ability to influence supplier selection decisions at both Site and Strategic Procurement levels.
* Proven negotiation and influencing skills with suppliers.
* Strong project management skills, including the ability to initiate and lead supplier optimization projects on a cross-functional and cross-site basis.
* Problem solving, planning and analytical skills, with the ability to collate and analyze large amounts of data for decision making.
* Excellent oral communication, business writing, and presentation skills.
* The ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and thrive in an Agile environment.
* A team player who can build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
In this role, you will be working closely with a broader procurement engineering team, collaborating across functions to drive success.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Supporting NPI and EC processes.
* Managing Part Transfers - to existing & new suppliers.
* Identifying and bringing supplier innovation and new suppliers to the company.
* Initiating and implementing productivity & supplier performance improvements.
Educational Requirements:
An Engineering Qualification and relevant experience are essential. Manufacturing engineering expertise is ideal, particularly in areas such as metals, plastics, electronics, hydraulics, etc.
