Job Description: Jones Engineering are looking to hire a qualified accountant to join our team.
This is a full-time role based onsite at our headquarters in Pembroke Road, Dublin 4.
As a Qualified Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, reviewing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting, tax and supply chain regulations.
You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial advice and support in decision-making processes.
You will report directly into the European Financial Controller and work closely with the general accounting, tax and accounts payable team.
In this role, You will: Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including invoices, receipts, payments, and other general ledger transactionsReconcile and balance general ledger accountsAnalyse and interpret financial data to inform management decisionsReview of profitability to ensure in line with Transfer Pricing policiesMonitor and manage cash flow, ensuring adequate funds are available for operational needsSupport with payroll related activitiesPreparation of Tax/VAT returns and other regulatory/compliance requirementsCollaborate with internal teams to develop and implement financial policies and proceduresMonitor supply chain within projects to ensure compliance with local regulationsAssist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholdersMain point of contact for auditors for relevant jurisdictionsSupport management with ad hoc requests as requiredMentor and coach other team membersFor this role you will need: Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting or related field requiredACA/ACCA certification requiredMinimum 1 year post qualified experience requiredMinimum of 3 years' experience in accounting or finance roleProficient in financial management software, such as SAPStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong communication and interpersonal skillsWe offer a competitive salary package commensurate with experience and qualifications.
