Job Description:
Jones Engineering are looking to hire a qualified accountant to join our team. This is a full-time role based onsite at our headquarters in Pembroke Road, Dublin 4. As a Qualified Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, reviewing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting, tax and supply chain regulations. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial advice and support in decision-making processes. You will report directly into the European Financial Controller and work closely with the general accounting, tax and accounts payable team.
In this role, You will:
* Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including invoices, receipts, payments, and other general ledger transactions
* Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts
* Analyse and interpret financial data to inform management decisions
* Review of profitability to ensure in line with Transfer Pricing policies
* Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring adequate funds are available for operational needs
* Support with payroll related activities
* Preparation of Tax/VAT returns and other regulatory/compliance requirements
* Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement financial policies and procedures
* Monitor supply chain within projects to ensure compliance with local regulations
* Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders
* Main point of contact for auditors for relevant jurisdictions
* Support management with ad hoc requests as required
* Mentor and coach other team members
For this role you will need:
* Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or related field required
* ACA/ACCA certification required
* Minimum 1 year post qualified experience required
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in accounting or finance role
* Proficient in financial management software, such as SAP
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
