Financial Regulations, Health & Safety Legislation, Employment Legislation, FOI Acts etc.Pursue continuous professional development in order to develop management expertise and professional knowledgeHave a working knowledge of the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) Standards and other standards as they apply to the role for example, Standards for Healthcare, National Standards for the Prevention and Control of Healthcare Associated Infections, Hygiene Standards etc., and comply with associated HSE protocols for implementing and maintaining these standardsHealthcare Records Manager Role Supervision and Management of all clerical officers both Grade III & Grade IV across 5 departments: Healthcare Records, Emergency Department, Central Admissions, Main Reception, and PHI Liaison.Manage the resources within the WTE allocation in accordance with hospital requirementsWeekly rostering for each of the above departmentsManagement of all staff queries and requests along with HR associated with same.Input and submission of hours for payrollManagement of sourcing and outsourcing records to our off-site storage company.Monthly KPI and Staffing reportsOrganise and facilitate mandatory trainingChair the Healthcare Records committee within the hospitalRepresent the ED clerical department at the ED/Finance committee meetings along with the duties associated with same.Healthcare Records standards and Auditing to ensure compliance within UHWWork with regional Health Care Records Managers Group on developing and implementing standardized policies.Development of standard operating procedures for each department and updating of same on a regular basis.Ensure the provision of an effective and comprehensive Healthcare Records Department.Responsible for ensuring all duplicate Health Care Records are merged correctly and in a timely manner in accordance with the Multi campus PPPG.The above Job Specification is not intended to be a comprehensive list of all duties involved and consequently, the post holder may be required to perform other duties as appropriate to the post which may be assigned to him/her from time to time and to contribute to the development of the post while in office.
