Duties:
1. Develop and implement process and equipment improvements/upgrades with minimal impact to production.
2. Provide daily support to Operations, Maintenance and Quality teams.
3. Implement process improvements and upgrades under change control.
4. Utilise Lean Six Sigma tools along with data to drive continuous improvement.
5. Develop a detailed understanding of the process and equipment in the manufacturing process, and share technical expertise with colleagues.
6. Fault-finding/troubleshooting of equipment and process issues.
7. Develop methods to ensure personnel engaged in maintenance activities have sufficient knowledge to perform their assigned tasks.
8. Generate documentation and SOPs associated with each of the equipment or process systems as required.
9. Present, where appropriate, technical data to internal/external audit and inspection groups.
10. May have direct reports.
11. Position will provide technical leadership role model example to Manufacturing group in the areas of technical expertise and specific project execution.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or other relevant technical equivalent.
Requirements:
1. A minimum of 3 years in technical role in high volume manufacturing environment preferred.
2. Good problem solving abilities – able to identify facts, consider alternative approaches and evaluate the most appropriate action.
3. Medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
4. Experience working in a validated environment with strong discipline with regard to change control is preferred.
