We are looking for hardworking technologists to join our Pre-Sales Enablement organization to ensure that our growth is grounded and guided by strong technical alignment with our platform and the needs of our Solutions Architect training needs.
MongoDB Pre-Sales Solution Architects are responsible for guiding our customers and users to design and build reliable, scalable systems using our data platform. Our team is made up of seasoned technical sales professionals, software architects, entrepreneurs, and developers who take direct responsibility for customer success, including the design of their software, deployment, and operations.
We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Dublin for our hybrid working model.
As an ideal candidate, you will have:
Ideally 8 to 11 years of related experience in a customer facing role, with 5 to 7 years of experience in pre-sales with enterprise software
Minimum of 3 years experience with modern scripting languages (e.g. Python, Node.js, SQL) and/or popular programming languages (e.g. C/C++, Java, C#) in a professional capacity
Minimum of 4 years of engagement within the learning industry
Experience implementing scalable and highly available distributed systems in the cloud and on-prem
Familiarity with project management methodologies
Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical and business concepts in a clear and compelling manner to technology and business leadership
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
The ability to travel up to 30%. This will include travel for 1 week to Chicago per month as well as team offsite's
We welcome applicants who may also have experience in selling databases or deploying applications across major cloud platforms, expertise in database programming and understanding data models, or a MongoDB Certification.
What you do at MongoDB:
In your role, you will play a critical part in executing the Solutions Architect Enablement strategy, aligned with the Go-To-Market vision of the Solutions Architects team.
This involves:
Identifying the training needs of the Solutions Architects team through various methods including interviews with executive leadership, surveys, and collaboration with other enablement professionals
Creating customized learning paths based on product, market, or business line focus, and developing training content for the MongoDB Enablement team's platforms
Managing projects across functional teams, including Learning & Development or Sales Enablement, overseeing the delivery of training, coaching, and development programs, and facilitating sessions are also key responsibilities
Securing leadership support for Go-To-Market initiatives and enablement efforts, provide consistent feedback from the field to Go-To-Market strategies, processes, and practices, and maintain regular communication to share and validate enablement plans with senior sales leaders
About You
You have strong acumen and experience related to enterprise software sales and databases
You should be adept at stakeholder management - with the ability to establish trust and maintain effective communication with senior sales leaders, developing and delivering engagement, enablement, or roadmap plans to stakeholders, and working cross-functionally in a collaborative environment across pre-sales, sales, services, marketing, and demand generation
You are comfortable and capable of facilitating and leading both virtual and in-person meetings effectively and a track record of executing plans efficiently and with urgency
