We are currently recruiting for a full-time room leader for our toddler room in our Prosperous branch.
We follow an emergent curriculum and are play-based but incorporate all childcare approaches.
The suitable candidate must have a degree recognised by the DCEDIY as a minimum QQI Level 7 in Childcare and a minimum of four years experience, preferably with the toddler age group.
The role involves leading a team to provide a high standard of care and education to the children, with the responsibility of the day-to-day running of the room, maintaining high standards, providing stimulating learning activities, and implementing new ideas. You would be required to be a team player as well as a leader, always supporting the children and teachers.
You would assist in the development and support of other staff members in your room, delegating tasks appropriately, identifying training needs, leading class meetings, setting up inductions, and supporting parents and the children in transitioning.
You would be responsible for the welfare of all children in your designated room, organising systems to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
You would work in partnership with all parents/carers, building and maintaining relationships that encourage trust, open communication, and involvement in school life.
You will be responsible for ensuring all information is uploaded continuously throughout the day on our APP system.
Ensure all children in your room have completed observations to a high standard.
Reinforce company policies and procedures at all times and deal with any breaches swiftly and appropriately.
Ensure that you have an excellent understanding and working knowledge of all aspects of health and safety and the risk assessments that are in place.
Promote the health, safety, and wellbeing of the children and other professionals within the building by completing toilet checks and daily risk assessments for rooms.
Ensure all safeguarding procedures are followed and contribute to the creation of a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children.
The position is a full-time role, for the full year, working 40 hours a week.
