Reporting to Vice President Structured Finance, this full-time and permanent position is based in Shannon, Ireland and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Capital Markets Department and its growth.Purpose of RoleResponsible for delivery of accounting and compliance services to a portfolio of aviation clients.Key ResponsibilitiesAccountable for review and approval of all ongoing servicing activities provided to clients, including but not limited to monthly management accounts, annual financial statements, corporate income tax and VAT returns of client.Commercial review of transaction agreements, to obtain an in-depth understanding of all aspects of the transaction and to determine appropriate accounting for the same.Financial accounting duties for client including:Review and/or preparation of management accounts and any other ad-hoc reports required.Preparation of consolidated and/or entity statutory financial statements.Co-ordinate and liaise with external auditors throughout the audit process.Preparation, review and filing of client tax returns (i.e. VAT, RCT, Corporation tax and Payroll taxes) and liaise with tax advisors where required.Responsible for the internal control of the client accounting and administration processes in use; identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiencies, and implementing change.Co-ordination and management of the annual audit process and tax compliance work, ensuring review for all audit deliverables as required.Maintaining excellent working relationships with clients and also with third parties such as Auditors, Tax advisors, Legal advisors, Revenue and banks as required.Ad hoc duties that may be assigned from time to time.Attributes/Technical SkillsExcellent communication (written and verbal) and client servicing skills.Strong time management skills with a proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.Resourceful, independent and strong problem-solving abilities.Team player with flexible and hands-on approach where required.Proficient in Microsoft Office.Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.Relevant ExperienceExperience in the corporate services industry or accounting practice.Financial services experience ideally in aircraft leasing and/or structured finance will be a significant advantage but not required.Education and Professional QualificationQualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CPA/CIMA).Company Benefits25 days annual leave per annum, increasing by 1 day each year after 2nd anniversary to a maximum of 27.Private medical insurance.Pension: 6% employer contribution after completion of probation period.Life assurance 4x salary.Income protection.Commuter tax saver scheme.Bike to work scheme.If you are excited about working with us, we encourage you to apply or have a confidential chat with one of our Talent Acquisition team members.
