Security Lead - Dublin, Ireland - Permanent

To support the client's management, we are looking for a Security Lead to manage all aspects of onsite generation and power provision activities.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive security policies and procedures in alignment with company and regulatory requirements to protect the data centre's physical and information assets.
2. Conduct regular risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential threats.
3. Oversee the implementation and maintenance of physical security measures, such as surveillance systems, access control, and intrusion detection systems.
4. Manage supplier relationships for the installation and maintenance of physical security equipment.
5. Manage on-site security personnel and third-party security providers to ensure effective coverage and response.
6. Lead and manage the security team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
7. Promote a culture that encourages compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
8. Manage access control systems to ensure only authorised personnel have access to sensitive areas.
9. Regularly review access logs for compliance and accuracy.
10. Ensure adherence to identity verification and visitor management processes.
11. Develop and maintain incident response plans for security events and emergencies.
12. Lead investigations into security incidents and provide detailed reports to senior management.
13. Coordinate with police and other external bodies as necessary.
14. Ensure compliance with all relevant security regulations and standards such as ISO/IEC 27001, PCI DSS, and data protection laws.
15. Conduct regular security checks for compliance.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in security management, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Extensive experience in security management, preferably within a data centre or critical infrastructure environment.
3. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CPP are highly desirable.
4. Strong knowledge of physical security systems and technologies.
5. Understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
6. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
7. Proficiency in security management software and tools.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies effectively.
